In the tradition of the very first safer sex educational pamphlet produced in 1982 by the San Francisco Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence joins efforts with the Long Beach AIDS Foundation to continue the educational and outreach resources for our South Bay communities.

Through the financial contributions of Long Beach AIDS Foundation, the LA Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have endeavored to create a fun and colorful way to reach out to the members of our community. It has been a long standing tradition of the Sisters to socialize and educate while spreading universal joy and promulgating stigmatic guilt. Simply put: Enjoy yourself, enjoy your life, be indulgently free....play fair, play aware and play safe.

About Play Fair! Long Beach

The LA Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have created a series of Play Fair Long Beach cards suitable for collecting. Each cards depicts a different Sister, sharing a story of real-life experiences. All proceeds from the cards go directly to ALEF.

Oftentimes we may feel alone, isolated and uncertain when we find ourselves face to face with HIV and AIDS, peer pressure to use drugs such as Crystal Meth, lonliness and uncertainty, which may cause tremendous stress and fear. However, you are not alone.

Education, risk assessment, risk awareness and risk management can help alleviate stress and dispell fear. Knowing what to look for and using your senses can help you manage your level of risk. Risk reduction is a powerful resource you can maintain when indulging in your particular sexual flavor.

Sex is a good thing and an awesome gift. Be aware and Play Fair!

We are an Order of 21st Century Nuns dedicated to the promulgation of universal joy and the expiation of stigmatic guilt. Our ministry is one of public manifestation and habitual perpetration.

More simply put: we make people happy, stamp out guilt brought on by a judgmental society and help various organizations and charities, etc .... Our goal is to embrace our gay and diverse selves and each other as we are today, as we were born and as we are meant to be. Our goal is to share kindness, love and laughter with those we have met, those we meet today and those we will meet tomorrow as a source of personal empowerment and pride. If we can do this while raising money for charity and being our natural fabulous selves, then there is room for YOU to be as fabulous as you are and as you were meant to be.

We believe in freedom of expression, teamwork, effort, and diversity. We are a family, committed to social activism, social service and spiritual development. The Order strives to strengthen its community through drag activism, by raising much-needed funds for community charities, and by bringing about a better understanding of gay spirituality. The Sisters also work to unite the various factions of the Southern California lesbian and gay community and raise drag awareness among individuals, businesses, and organizations that are often ignorant or even hostile to members of the drag population.
