Over the years, since 1995 in Los Angeles, The Sisters have grown from 4 original founding members, to a group of over 35 members today. Becoming a Fully Professed Member takes hard work, dedication, open-hearted compassion, a desire for community service and a whole lotta crazy!

We are an Order of 21st Century Nuns dedicated to the promulgation of universal joy and the expiation of stigmatic guilt. Our ministry is one of public manifestation and habitual perpetration.

More simply put: we make people happy, stamp out guilt brought on by a judgmental society and help various organizations and charities, etc .... Our goal

Q: What is it you people do?

A: We organize a variety of events where we raise funds for charitable organizations as well as providing fun, laughter, and a premium sexual outlet for aficionados of grease paint and pubic glitter. The charities we serve might be AIDS service / education providers, arts / theater groups, gay teen support groups

What does it take to become one of the LA Sisters? The process of becoming a Sister is not an easy aspiration. It takes well over a year to earn your place among The Sisters. Despite the outrageous fun, glamorous life and public notoriety, this is really hard work. Not for the faint of heart...not for the wallflower!

Sister SeeMe FeelMe TouchMe

Grandmother secretly prayed a special rosary every night in hopes that her 24th grandchild would become a priest. Grandmother felt that specialness in her grandson from his very young age.

Catholicism would shape Sister Seeme through her gay youth and into her adulthood. Finding and exploring a forbidden sexuality, and experiencing love would force Seeme on a journey toward an unconventional spirituality.

Religion? Me...a Nun?? Same philosophy, more make-up.

Moral judgments create a place of shame. I have found and need to share a greater level of self. We have the right to be honest, open and self-confident in both our sexual and emotional lives. We must celebrate our sexuality and spirituality immersing the two as one.

A community of diversity? Diversity has allowed our community to grow and discover. We must celebrate that diversity of a community and of every individual shamelessly. Rejoice in the self that you learned to hide. Rejoice in the excitement of expressing your deepest desires. Through Sister Seeme I hope I have the ability to arouse an individual, arouse the inner strength and dignity of all individuals.

Celebrating our lives is the greatest gift we can give!
